Snapshot Room Tour | 2nd Year

Living in student accommodation means decorating you room and house are generally kept to a minimum. You work with what you've got. At the beginning of the term, visiting everyone's houses and being nosy was great fun. You got to check out their house and see what they did with their space.

For me, my room is my space, somewhere where I can chill out and have moments where I can escape and relax. I thought I would share what I'd done with my room, although it's most likely not going to stay like this for long

In the above picture, it shows my work, dressing area space. Although my desk normally consists of a mountain of clothes, when I do organise my room it's generally where I keep my laptop and books.

Next to my laptop I keep my notebooks I use for Uni, under a rose gold framed Jewelry box, which I keep my staple pieces of Jewelry. On the back wall I have a series of photos, all taken in the Maldives. I tried to incorporate the colours in my room to ones, found in the photos.

Along my window sill, I have several miniature teddies, many which I received when I was little. They were back home in my parents house, however I refused to let them go, in one of many spring cleans.

This year I'm lucky enough to be back in a double bed, and boy did I miss it. I was lucky  enough that the colours I wanted in my room matched the feature wall.  I hung a gold and white tapestry which I got from eBay onto a plain wall, and some blue fairy lights across the edge of the wall where it meets the ceiling. The mixture of pillows on my bed comes from Primark and Dunelm

On the wall opposite the tapestry, I placed a white board calendar, this was a genius idea, helping me keep up to date with what I have to do each month. Around it I have stuck some memorable cards from family and friends and underneath is my world map, which I am slowly sticking stickers on the places I have been.

Just out of the picture I have my TV and under the giant teddy ( which is actually my mothers) is a record player.

My dressing table tends to get cluttered, especially after getting ready for a night out. I ordered some clear storage of eBay to organise my make-up. The marble wash-bag consists of all my brushes.

So there was a quick glimpse of my room
