Natural and Nutritional

Lately, the trend for, 'green juices' have been going around alongside the idea of eating more natural and organic foods. Reading blogs, and following people on social platforms such as Instagram, Youtube & Twitter. I have decided to gradually jump on the bandwagon, with eating more healthily and consuming and cooking foods in a way which is better for you body and mind.

I am not diving in the deep end as such and completely altering my diet all at once, but I am slowly trying and tasting new foods. Like this morning I tried pine nuts, and discovered they weren't my favourite thing. However my recent attempt at eating Almonds has been a success and I am enjoying them, for me they are a great source of protein as I am not the biggest, 'meat eater'.

Reading a few recipes, and information I decided I would start with breakfast. During school time, I am not one for normally eating breakfast however this week I have been giving it a go, with two recipes, altering them each time I try them and allowing some variety into them so I am not eating the same tings every day.

At the moment I have been loving, organic oats with honey and a assortment of Almonds, , raisins and banana. Which is a simple throw together mixture of food, which I find ideal as I don't like to spend to much on breakfasts, especially if I have to get a move on and leave the house. It also provides a whole range of nutritional goodness, with lots of fibre and protein as well as energy to keep you going.

The second new breakfast meal I have been cooking is, avocado and eggs on whole grain toast. Although it takes a little longer to make. I really enjoy this recipe. After seeing it on plenty of blogs and places on the Internet I decided to give it a go and I am glad I did.

For it I scoop out one half of the avocado and place it on some buttered whole grain toast and then, I have been frying an egg and placing that on top, with pepper, and herbs. Alongside a glass of Ice Cold Water and some juice.

Over the last several months I have been trying to drink as much water as possible, and lately I am managing to do that. From information I have read, drinking a pint of ice cold water before bed and as soon as you wake up, helps to speed up your metabolism, so I have been giving that a go as well as having regular glasses of water throughout the day.
