New Year, New Hair?

I have managed to get myself into more of a routine when it comes to my hair, over the past few weeks. Which has been beneficial for myself, as I am more organised and my hair, which gets looked after, a lot better.  Over the Christmas period, I ended up in many beauty and hair related shops and these are some of the products which I have been using on a more regular basis from among the ones I have purchased.

Firstly the Mark Defrizz-ilicious Bedazzled Anti-humidity Shine Spray. If anyone knows me, and by reading this post, you would know I am a Mark Hill lover, I find his products well worth the money and fabulous to use. Specifically I use this product mainly after I have  styled my hair, which mostly occurs before a night out. I prefer it to normal hair spray, where I don't need a strong spray to keep my hair in place and it works wonders for keeping my hair smooth while I am in a club.

Secondly the TRESemme Instant Refresh Dry Shampoo. Dry Shampoo has been an absolute godsend, when it comes to getting up late and I am in a rush, or for days where I do not wash my hair. I adore the Batiste products but as this was on sale in Boots, I thought I would give it a go.. Its cool and refreshing to use and I do not have to worry about it being visible within my hair. I would tell anyone to give it a go.

When I go all out with my hair and decide to do something fancy, I have been using the Wella Silvikrin Firm Hairspray. As I have quite thick and heavy hair, a light hairspray is not really much use. In the past this was the hairspray I used for dance shows and performances. To use a cliche; it does what is says on the tin. I enables me to keep my hair in a position I want it for a lot longer than other Hairsprays I have tried. The only downside to this however is that I sometimes over do it and get left with sticky / straw like hair when I touch it. This however is not a massive downside after a few drinks.

Since being at university, and back in England, leaving my hair wet to dry is becoming annoying as in the winter weather it is cold and takes a longer time to dry so I have been using my hair dryer on a lot more occasions. Simultaneously the straighteners and curlers have been making an appearence as I experiment with hairstyles a lot more.  My Mum has always gone on at me about how important a heat spray is, so I followed her advice and bought one. As a student it had to be adfordable and I opted for the VO5 Nourish My Shine Heat Protection Spray. Realistically I think the packaging got me as the liquid is pink and I like the smell. However it does actually do a good job.

Now back to the Mark Hill products. For the last few weeks I have been working my way through XL Volume Amplifying Shampoo and Conditioner. I love it. I cannot really find any faults besides the fact that my first comparison with the aroma was with a Orange Bacardi Breezer - this may not actually be a bad thing - however compared to older shampoos and conditioners this has blown them out the water and become a new love.
